As you know well that Samsung is going to introduce its new flagship the Galaxy S IV on March 14 in New York. Most people do not know about it. An innovative feature of this phone is it will be introduced with Eye-Tracking Technology.
As per the report of New York Times, the Galaxy S IV is being introduced with feature of Eye-tracking technology, primarily integrated with reading. When the reader finish the page the phone will automatically scroll to the next page. The report does not explain more about the eye-tracking feature. But it’s likely to be eye recognition software using front-facing camera of the phone. Recently, Samsung filed its “Eye Scroll” trademark in Europe and US. It described the feature:
“Computer application software having a feature of sensing eye movements and scrolling displays of mobile devices, namely, mobile phones, smartphones and tablet computers according to eye movements; digital cameras; mobile telephones; smartphones; tablet computers”.
The information source described that phone’s software features it more important than its hardware but, in response, Samsung’s Chief Product Office, Kevin, disagreed with this assessment and called the Galaxy S IV IV “an amazing phone” (no surprise that he feels that way).
Samsung has gained the reputation like Apple, as it rose to mobile dominance. The company would love nothing more to create its own advanced features, gaining a new reputation as an innovator in its own right.
