Samsung is going to unveil its next iteration of Android flagship smartphone Galaxy S5. Most probably it will be introduced in this spring (Northern Hemisphere), roughly at the same time as Galaxy S4 in NY in last. As Samsung is already working on iris-scanning security technology and it is being rumored that new Galaxy S5 may include this feature. The company executive said at an interview at CES 2014 this week “Many people are fanatical about iris recognition technology,” Mr. Lee executive vice president for mobile said at Bloomberg in an interview.
Galaxy S5 feature of iris-scanning security system for security purpose comes on the heels of Apple iPhone S5 adding fingerprint scanner to its most recent iteration of its top smartphone, iPhone 5S. Lee also disclosed that Galaxy S5 will be introduced with a new smartwatch to follow up the Galaxy Gear. He also said the Galaxy S5 will be less bulky than its previous version and will have a suite of powerful features.
