Inflatable Frame Tent and Canopy Quickly Set Up with Electric Pump

If you’ve ever felt the frustration of setting up a tent, you’re not alone. Many camping enthusiasts have voiced their discontent with the traditional setup process, leading to a surge in Kickstarter projects aimed at solving this issue. The Gouse Tent and Luli Canopy by Aerogogo are the latest innovations designed to make your camping experience smoother with the help of an electric pump and an inflatable frame.

Aerogogo, known for their previous GigaSphere, and Moon tents, brings us these new models featuring tubular textile frames inflated by an included electric pump. The Gouse Tent stands out with its dual H-shaped frames, creating an HH pattern when viewed from above. One frame forms the bedroom, while the other serves as a living room. You can easily separate or merge these spaces with a curtain that can be drawn and zipped. While the living room can double as an additional bedroom, it lacks a floor.

The Gouse Tent also offers enhanced functionality with three canopies—one over the front door and one on either side—supported by included poles. It boasts a ceiling height of 210 cm (6.9 ft), a length of 665 cm (21.8 ft), and a width of 225 cm (7.4 ft), making it suitable for eight to ten people, although the ten-person claim might be a stretch.

Crafted from polyethylene-coated TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), the Gouse’s frame is robust, while its walls are made of dual layers of 150D Oxford fabric. The inner layer features a PU2000 waterproof coating and silver UPF 50+ sun-protection coating, while the outer layer has a PU3000 waterproof coating and black polyurethane sun-protection coating. The raised-edge floor is made from 300D Oxford fabric with a PU3000 waterproof coating. Six large mesh windows provide ventilation, and a stove pipe hole allows for warmth from a user-supplied stove on chilly days.

Setting up the Gouse involves laying it flat, staking the corners, inflating the frames (each taking about eight minutes), and securing the canopy and wind support straps. On the other hand, the Luli Canopy is simpler, featuring a single H-shaped frame and open ends, with a ceiling height of 220 cm (7.2 ft) and end openings 250 cm (8.2 ft) wide—perfect for partially backing in a vehicle. Like the Gouse, it includes six mesh windows and boasts an integrated projection screen for movie nights.

If these innovations make it to production, a pledge of US$1,099 will secure the Gouse Tent, while the Luli Canopy will cost $499. Planned retail prices are $1,699 and $899, respectively.
