For almost ten years, the UK company Leisure Pods has been creating innovative fibreglass trailers for the food service sector.
It formally introduces that know-how to the camper industry this month with a brand-new trailer called the Campod.
The Campod, an alternative to teardrops and other small, lightweight camping trailers, resembles a Romani caravan or an American covered waggon from the 19th century, with the exception that it has been completely updated with a vibrant, lightweight fibreglass shell.
The traditional shape creates a picture window panorama that brings the outside in and over 6 feet of standing space.
The 14.1-foot-long (4.3-m) Campod is almost certainly a modern-day Romani waggon or Oregon Trail-ready prairie schooner, depending on which side of the Atlantic laps the shoreline closest to your home.
