Build Tiny is a New Zealand’s firm, which designed a tiny house named as Dark Horse. Now this firm is using that model to build another tiny house. It features a well-stocked kitchen, a bedroom and a living room that open outside through double glass doors.
Having length of 9 m, the tiny house is named as Piwakawaka. Piwakawaka tiny house sits on double-axle trailer and finished in vinyl and cedar. The inhabitants can access the interior through glass doors. The interior is light-filled and finished in poplar core plywood. The living area is pretty small and carries seating and shelving, wood-burning stove to heat the home.
The bedroom is on right side just entering the living room that is generous glazed like the living room and opens up to the outside. A headroom to stand upright that is the nice feature to have a tiny house. It features storage space perhaps integrated with bed.
There is a kitchen area on the other side of living area. The kitchen area is quite well-stocked for compact tiny house. Kitchen area includes a large bifold window, breakfast bar for two, cabinetry, a two-burner propane-powered stove, an oven, a microwave, pantry, a sink, a fridge/freezer and small dishwasher. The kitchen area is connected to bathroom which features a sink, shower and composting toilet plus extra storage space and a washer/dryer.
The wiring system is ready for solar panel installation in future however the tiny home gets power from a standard RV-style hookup. Currently price detailed not disclosed by the firm however, similar Dark Horse was priced approx. US$ 80000.
