Flowing major to north, Nile is world’s longest river in Northeastern Africa with a length of 6,650 KM. Nile is called International river as its drainage basin covers eleven countries which are, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kenya, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, Republic of the Sudan and Egypt. Nile is primary source of water for Sudan and Egypt.
There are two major parts of river Nile called White Nile and Blue Nile. White Nile is primary stream of River Nile whereas the Blue Nile, however, is the source of most of the water and silt.
